Bleach & Bubbles

Greetings All! Who would of thought that bleach would be so much fun! I created the background of this card using bleach and bubble wrap. Very easy. Let me know what you think of the video below.

The products I used to create this card are listed below, in text, linked to the sites where you can purchase the product if you choose. FYI. A few of the products are no longer available.

The finished card size is 5.5 X 4.25 inches. I applied Rose Red (discontinued) and Basic Grey inks (Stampin' Up) on a 5.1/8 X 3.7/8 inch layer of Watercolor paper (Michaels) using Blender Brushes (Simon Says Stamp).

To give the background its textured look, I put a few drops of bleach in 3 ounces of water, mixed it together and brushed the mixture on a used piece of bubble wrap (bubbles facing upward) with a Flat Wash Brush (Michaels). Then, I placed the bubble wrap onto the watercolor paper (bubbles facing downward), pressed it down with my fingers (all over), pulled it off and dried the impression with my Heat Tool.

After the impression was dry, I stamped the Starburst Lace image (discontinued) over the background using Tuxedo Black Ink (Simon Says Stamp), dried the image with my Heat Tool, adhered the watercolor paper on a piece of 5.25 X 4" Black Card Stock (Michaels) and then the 5.5 X 4.25" (folded) Solid Sand Card Stock base (Paper and More).

I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment, You raise kindness to an art, in Tuxedo Black Ink (Simon Says Stamp) on a scrap piece of Solid Sand Card Stock (Paper and More), cutting it out with a die from Sentiment Banners (Honey Bee Stamps) and adhering it to the card.

Well, that's all folks. I hope you enjoyed the video. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Happy Crafting!
