Quick & Easy Card for Mother's Day

Handmade Card Videos

Hey! It's been a while. I have lots of stuff going on. For this blog, I decided to do something for Momma. This is a quick and easy card using my favorite techniques, blending and stenciling. I hope you enjoy the video.

The products/tools used to create this card are listed below, in text, linked to the sites where you can purchase the product/tool, if you choose. FYI. A few of the products are no longer available.

The finished size of this card is 5.5" X 4.25".

I applied Cinnamon Cider and Mint Macaron dye inks (Stampin' Up) on a 3.5/8 X 4.7/8 inch layer of Whisper White Cardstock (discontinued) using Blender Brushes (Simon Says Stamp) to create the soft background.

To spice the background up a little bit, I added a pattern to the layer by using the Diamond Circle Stencil (Simon Says Stamp) and Basic Gray dye ink (Stampin' Up).

Using Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink (Tsukineko), I stamped the dotted stemmed image (discontinued) in the center of design I created. Then, I adhered the background design layer to a piece of 3.75 X 5" Sold Bright White Cardstock (Paper and More) and then placed those two layers onto the 4.25 X 5.5" (folded) Solid Gray Smoke Cardstock base (Paper and More).

I finished the card off by stamping "Happy Mother's Day" (discontinued) on a 4.25 X 3.75" kraft strip of cardstock (one of the many pieces that I had laying around), put double-sided foam tape on the back (to give it that 3D effect) and placed it on the front of the card.

I hope you enjoyed the video. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Happy Crafting!
