Handmade Card Videos
Hey! It's been a while. New things happening, but off course I had to make time to post another card making technique. This is a old one, but a good one! Enjoy!
The products/tools used to create this card are listed below, in text, linked to the sites where you can purchase the product/tool, if you choose. FYI. A few of the products are no longer available.
The finished size of this card is 4.25" X 5.5".
Step one: I applied Sicilian Amber dye ink (Altenew) on the entire Ornate Background stamp (Simon Says Stamp!).
Step Two: To give the background design a little definition, I applied the Butternut dye ink (Altenew) to the entire Leaf Frond II stamp (A Muse), stamped the Leaf Frond II stamp onto the Ornate Background stamp, and then stamped the image onto a 3.5/8 X 4.7/8 inch layer of Whisper White cardstock (discontinued). I repeated this step until the background was covered to my satisfaction.
Step Three: Using Old Olive dye ink (Stampin Up!) and the Leaf Petal stamp (discontinued), I stamped the leaf petals onto the background to give it a little more color.
Step Four: I adhered the background design layer to a piece of 3.75 X 5" Mustard cardstock (discontinued) and then adhered those two layers onto the 4.25 X 5.5" (folded) Black cardstock base (Paper and More).
Step Five: I finished the card off by stamping a "Happy Bday" sentiment (discontinued), using Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink (Tsukineko), onto a 2 X 2.25 inch piece of Whisper White cardstock (discontinued), adhering it to a 2.1/8 X 2.3/8 inch Black cardstock (Paper and More), and placing it onto the middle of the card using Dimensionals (Stampin' Up) to give it that 3D effect.
I hope you enjoyed the video! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Happy Crafting!
